About Us


The Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) is the nation’s largest professional organizations of IT educators in the country. It is a non-stock, non-profit organization that includes the Philippine educational institutions offering IT education programs for Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, and Multimedia Systems. 

PSITE was established in 1998 under the first leadership of PSITE National President, Ms. Maria Fe Ferriols. To date, it is composed of seventeen regional chapters in the Philippines from the islands of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Every regional chapter is run and managed by elected regional officers, who are guided and supported by the PSITE National Board of Trustees to achieve the organizational vision of transforming the academic community to enable and sustain the growth of a knowledge-driven Philippine economy through its mission: 

  • to build a strong community through collaboration with educational providers, industry, government, non-governmental organizations, and international counterparts;
  • to be dynamic and responsive educational initiatives to raise academic standards;
  • to be relevant community extension and immersion programs;
  • to be aggressive in building research capability and an effective mentoring system.

The entire PSITE community is true to its mission and vision by helping IT educators reach full academic potential, share knowledge and skills through our platforms, build links between tech-driven industry and the academe to improve quality education of the future workforce, and support member institutions to design ITE-related curriculum and policies, through its values of professionalism, service orientation, integrity, and leadership.
