Commencing the Journey of Commitment

On May 17, 2024, a significant event unfolded at the CHED Regional Office in CALABARZON. The newly elected officers of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) gathered to participate in their oath-taking ceremony.

Dr. Freddie B. Bulauan, as the CHED R4A OIC Regional Director, played a pivotal role in this ceremony. His presence underscored the importance of education and leadership. Through his guidance, the officers received a charge to lead with integrity and vision.

In continuing the mission of PSITE, the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators Region 10 (PSITE R10) in partnership with the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines will be conducting an onsite training on UNVEILING DEEP LEARNING MODELS with Dr. Siraj Muhammad, an invited speaker from Computer Science Department, SBBU, Sheringal, Dir(U), KP, Pakistan. This training will be held at Makerspace Room, University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), Cagayan de Oro City on June 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

The Registration Fee is Php 500.00 inclusive of 1 Snack and E-Certificate.

The UNP College of Communication and Information Technology hosted the Regional Convention of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) held at the UNP Tadena Hall on May 10, 2024. The conference focused on the benefits and disadvantages of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.

PSITE Region 10 conducted its Regional Conference for IT Education and Members General Assembly 2024 at Bukidnon State University last April 18-19, 2024. This 2-day event was attended by more than 70 participants from the different schools and universities in Northern Mindanao.

On day 1, the conference had two parallel sessions – Machine Learning and AI- Related Project & Software Development and Related Applications. On Day 2, the members general assembly was done together with the election and oath taking of the new sets of officers for SY 2024-2025.

PSITE Northern Mindanao chapter is extremely grateful for the support of all our IT Educators in Northern Mindanao and its institutions and affiliations for making this event successful.

The Tech Frontier of Adobe: Pioneering New Solutions for a Digital Age

The Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) Calabarzon! Being the nation’s largest professional Information Technology organization, hosts educational technology conventions and conferences. It is an organization with great diversity that supports members and affiliates with information and networking opportunities as they face the challenges of innovation and transforming education. This is a non-profit organization that caters to the IT needs of the teachers, administrators, deans, and faculty members of the country.

The Calabarzon Chapter is organizing a seminar titled “The Tech Frontier of Adobe: Pioneering New Solutions for a Digital Age” on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 8:00, am to 12:00nn. We are inviting at least two representatives from each school, college, or university.

The event will be limited to around 100 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. For members, FREE REGISTRATION & FOOD. For non-members, just pay P500 for the membership fee.

This seminar is open to Directors, Administrators, Deans, Program Heads/ Chairs/ Coordinators, IT/Computing Faculty Members, High School IT Teachers, and Principals. The 13th PSITE Bicol Convention and General Assembly is an event organized by the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) Bicol Region. The theme for this year’s assembly is “Beyond Borders, Beyond Threats: Advancing Philippine IT Education.
