Attention: All Active Institutional Member Schools of PSITE-NCR
The 7th PSITE-NCR research symposium provides a venue for institutional members to present innovative ideas, approaches, developments and results of undergraduate student faculty collaborative research projects in a specific area of Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems, and Entertainment and Multimedia Computing. The symposium primarily promotes the exchange of information among researchers, faculty, administrators, students and IT practitioners. The event also provides a venue for researchers to publish in an ISSN 2467-6942 registered regional research journal.
SYMPOSIUM FOCUS
The symposium will focus on collaborative undergraduate student and faculty research projects in three ICT research categories:
- Computer Science (CS) program field of innovative research
- Information Technology (IT) or Information Systems (IS) program field of project research
- Entertainment and multimedia computing (EMC) program field of project research
PAPER SUBMISSION
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished full research papers for presentation at the 7th PSITE-NCR Research Symposium. The Symposium Review Policy requires that each PSITE-NCR institutional member can only submit one (1) entry per category and it should be peer-reviewed and endorsed by the Research Director or Dean of the member institution. Entries should be a research collaboration between faculty and students. The field of research of the paper to be submitted should conform to the indicated symposium research focus. All qualified entries will be included in the symposium proceeding publication. NCR Member institution can only send research papers that correspond to the CHED degree programs they offer to quality entry. (i.e. An institutional member that offers only BSIT and BSIS programs can only send one research paper, or an institutional member that offers BSCS and BSIS programs can send two (2) research papers, one research paper for each category.)
Each research paper entry should comprise the following (incomplete submission would mean automatic disqualification from being an awardee):
- Filled out online form and copyright declaration with complete name(s) of the author(s) (authors should be a collaboration between faculty member and students)
- The research title and abstract (maximum of 200 words) in pdf format
- The full research paper in pdf format (strictly in ACM format) maximum of 6 pages only.
- A video poster presentation good for a maximum of 10 minutes
- Scanned endorsement form their Dean or Research Director that paper has been reviewed and is the official entry to the symposium
- Scanned deposit slip/Gcash slip of the call for papers registration fee of PhP 2,000 (include 3 onsite F2F participants, hybrid link to other authors as online participants, e-certificate of participation with names of authors, snacks for F2F onsite participants, 1 Hard copy of symposium proceedings)

PAPER REVIEW, SELECTION and PRESENTATION
A review of all papers submitted will be undertaken by the members of the Paper Review Committee comprising industry practitioners and PSITE officers, will determine the Best paper award and the Best video poster award.
If an entry has been confirmed and acknowledged via email, at least one of the authors should be present during the symposium to present and explain their research poster.
The top 3 papers per category will be given a chance to present live and discuss further their research for 20 minutes in the plenary breakouts per category and qualify for the final round in the Best paper award selection.
